TurnLock™ is really "tab A into slot B" technology and you wonder why someone didn't think of it sooner. Milescraft did, which is why the concept, and the products built using it, are patented.
The foundation of the TurnLock™ concept is the TurnLock™ Baseplate, which replaces the standard base on almost every router sold. The Baseplate contains a series of slots along its inside perimeter. The products that are attached to the baseplate, such as TurnLock™ Bushings, CircleCutter™, EdgeCutter™ and OffsetBase™, have tabs along the outside edge of their perimeter. To put the two together, simply line the tabs up with the slots and twist until the turning stops roughly an inch of travel. In addition, the baseplate, plus the receiver plates of the TurnLock™ accessories, are made from hard, strong, clear resin, so you get a better look at what you're doing than ever before.
