We are looking for local, Chicagoland-based candidates only.
Create, layout, and develop instruction manuals, product brochures and catalogs, bulletins, instruction sheets, and manual supplements.
Produce high-quality technical documentation that also is easy for the end-user to understand.
Work with the engineering team and 3rd party advisors to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, specifications, and documentation requirements. You will need to become familiar with how to use our products.
Coordinate language translation requirements to minimize translation costs.
Assist with language development, writing preparation, and other company communications when needed
LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Self-directed, disciplined, high-energy, pro-active work ethic. Minimum of three years of experience in technical writing and publishing.
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts, develop easily understandable text and pictures, and deliver high-quality documentation about the product.
Excellent communication skills
Must be proficient in electronic document development, with a strong working knowledge of Adobe Suite, InDesign, and Solidworks.
Must have strong organizational skills and be able to meet strict deadlines.
