Do you offer beams for the RouterGuideKit that are longer than 20"?

Beams can be custom cut to the desired length. Please contact Milescraft Customer Service by phone or email, and we would be happy to assist you with your custom beams.

What is the Offset Base used for?

The Offset Base is used for routing the edges of your workpiece.

Why are there no scales on the 1223 beam?

The scales were removed as part of a redesign process, as these were not fixed in place. It had come to our attention that the scales would need to be adjusted based on the router bit size that the consumer was using and this caused great confusion. Without knowing what router bits were being used for the different types of applications, the moving scales made accuracy difficult.

Measuring for Circle Cuts:

With a ruler measure and mark the center point of your circle and then mark at least one point on your circle diameter

For Outside Circles:

Your router bit should be positioned on the outside of the mark you made for your diameter, but be sure it is still touching your mark. You will need to measure from the outside of your router bit once in this position to the center mark you made for your pivot.

For Inside Circles:

Your router bit should be positioned on the inside of the mark you made for your diameter, but be sure it is still touching your mark. You will need to measure from the inside of your router bit once in this position to the center mark you made for your pivot.

Do I need special screws to attach the TurnLock™ BasePlate to my Ryobi Router?

Some Ryobi routers require special screws which will be supplied upon request at no charge to you. To acquire these special screws please contact Milescraft Customer Service via email,  info@milescraft.com or phone 224-227-6930.

How do I prevent the spread of sawdust when using my router?

If your router comes with a dust deflector, we recommend installing this before routing. It may also be helpful to install a dust collection adapter on your router, should this accessory be available for your particular brand/model number.
