I bought the Milescraft 1318 Drillmate. It has only one spring on one side. I found that when pushing down on the head it felt like it wanted to tilt to one side and almost bind up due to uneven pressure caused by having just one spring. I ordered and installed another spring on the other post and it now feels much more even in the downward motion. But, two springs now make for more pressure needed to push downward. lighter springs of the same height would work or I can reduce the height by cutting the springs down a little at a time to find just the right amount of pressure needed. Even pressure is a must weather drilling at 90 degrees to the surface or at any other angle when using a tool like this. Aside from this I found the drill mate to work well for what it was designed for.

Added spring to the other rail so there was one on both sides, much more stable. Milescraft please consider adding a spring to both sides from the get go.
